Beginning May 12th the clinic will re-open for acupuncture treatments. This is a gradual process, and adjustments have been made as to how the clinic operates. This is being done in response to the continued spread of the covid-19 virus, and is in accordance with the City of Berkeley shelter in place order that was issued earlier this month.

Acupuncture treatments are now by appointment only. No one will be admitted into the clinic without an appointment. To schedule an appointment, you can either call the clinic directly, or use the on-line service.

At this time, the clinic will not not be providing acupuncture treatments for anyone with symptoms related to the covid-19 virus. For such symptoms, prescriptions for herbal remedies can be ordered over the phone, or by email.

Anyone entering the clinic must wear a protective mask for the duration of their visit.

Only one patient at a time will be allowed inside the clinic. If you arrive early for your scheduled appointment, please wait outside until you are greeted at the door. Once inside, you will be asked to wash your hands in the restroom.

The above changes were made to help reduce the spread of the virus, while being able to provide the benefits of an acupuncture treatment. These changes will continue to be implemented until at least the beginning of June. The clinic will continue to make whatever adjustments are necessary to follow the standards set by the City of Berkeley health department.

To support the practice of safe social distancing, the clinic will remain closed until early May.

Much has changed since the previous post two days ago. The clinic will now be closed until the beginning of April. I will post an update as that time gets closer. Hopefully, conditions will be safe enough then, and the closure will not need to be extended any further into the future. I very much look forward to the time when I can treat people again.

As of today, March 16th, the clinic will continue to remain open. Any person who is experiencing any symptoms of the virus (fever,cough, shortness of breath)will be asked to not come into the clinic until further notice. If you do not have currently have any of the key symptoms but, have been in contact with someone who recently had them, or you are someone who is considered to be at higher risk, it would be overall safer if you did not come into the clinic at this time.
Anyone who comes into the clinic will be asked to wash their hands both before and after the treatment. Also, pleases bring your own pen and water container.
Acupuncture can be very beneficial during times of a large-scale health crisis. The clinic will remain open in a limited way for the next several weeks. Qi Gong(chee-gung) is the term used for traditional Chinese health exercises that focus on harmonizing the mind, breath, and body.  Qi Gong is presented in our clinic as a series of fluid movements practiced at a moderate pace.  These movements are presented in a format that provides participants with an exercise routine that can be practiced at home. Regular practice of Qi Gong can boost metabolism, improve circulation, strengthen the immune system, and lead to enhanced mental acuity. Qi Gong is practiced standing up and participants are asked to were comfortable shoes and loose fitting clothes. Classes are every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month from 10:00 am-11:00 am.
