Twenty-five hundred years ago, the Yellow Emperor ruled ancient China. His reign is remembered as a time of balance and harmony. It was during this time that Chinese Medicine was first codified as a systematic science, and first made available to everyone.

To us, the Yellow Emperor’s name evokes not only the long history of Chinese Medicine, but also a recog-nition that all people deserve affordable access to this ancient wisdom.

Charles has been practicing Chinese healing arts for over twenty five years. Currently he is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of California. His patients know him as gentle and kind.

In the mid-1990s, Charles became interested in community medicine while providing acupressure to HIV/AIDS patients at a community clinic in San Francisco.

Outside of his medicine practice, Charles is a teacher of Tai Chi and Qi Gong, which are based on many of the same principles, and which continue to inform his knowledge of medicine.

Charles also provides Chinese herbal prescriptions and nutritional counseling as part of his holistic approach to treatment.
